Grand Duke Supreme

Jasminum sambac 'Grand Duke Supreme'

A more vigorous selection of Grand Duke of Tuscany, bearing large, triple-layered, camellia-like blooms up to 2" across, often in small clusters rather than solitary. Renowned for an intensely strong fragrance - described by growers as among the strongest of any jasmine - used in jasmine tea and perfumery. Deep green, ruffled foliage on rigidly erect canes. Everblooming with warmth and humidity; benefits from regular trimming to prevent legginess. Frost-sensitive, requiring freeze protection. Ideal as a houseplant or container specimen. Glossy, ruffled dark green foliage on rigid canes. Everblooming in warmth, with repeat flowering through summer; vigorous grower suited to hedges, fences, and containers. Fragrance: Rich, classic jasmine.

Mysore Mulli

Jasminum sambac 'Mysore Mulli'

A vigorous, vining Arabian Jasmine cultivar traditionally grown around Mysuru, India for garland-making (Mysuru Mallige), considered a variation of Belle of India. Bears semi-double, pointed oblong-petaled white blooms - showing mixed petal forms on the same plant - with the classic intense sambac fragrance. Unlike most sambac types, performs well in both sunny and semi-shaded locations and takes readily to climbing on fences or hedges. Frost-tender. Fragrance: Intense, classic jasmine.
