Grand Duke Supreme
Jasminum sambac 'Grand Duke Supreme'
A more vigorous selection of Grand Duke of Tuscany, bearing large, triple-layered, camellia-like blooms up to 2" across, often in small clusters rather than solitary. Renowned for an intensely strong fragrance - described by growers as among the strongest of any jasmine - used in jasmine tea and perfumery. Deep green, ruffled foliage on rigidly erect canes. Everblooming with warmth and humidity; benefits from regular trimming to prevent legginess. Frost-sensitive, requiring freeze protection. Ideal as a houseplant or container specimen. Fragrance: Intense.
